Happy #WeddingWednesday. With summer just around the corner we’re ready for vacation (as if you couldn’t tell from our month long series on fabulous destination weddings). Let’s recap all of the amazing May Destination Modern Jewish Wedding features: Grand Cayman (which gave MJW subscribers a very special offer), advice from The Honeymoonist with top tips on planning your destination wedding, yesterday’s desert destination wedding in Scottsdale and beauties from Seattle to Florida. We finish off the month with today’s feature on the beach in Mexico.
Sam and Elaine planned their dream destination wedding in Playa del Carmen off the coast of the Caribbean Sea. They chose the gorgeous Secrets Playa Mujeres resort, an all-inclusive, adults-only resort with white sandy beaches and views of the turquoise waters.
Elaine looked absolutely beautiful in her white, embellished bodice, Mori Lee bridal gown and delicate crystal tiara on top of her long curls. Her bridesmaids wore matching short red gowns while the groomsmen wore grey vests, slacks and red ties. Sam looked just as handsome in a grey suit and vest with a black bowtie.
Their intimate ceremony was held on a grass lawn with stunning views of the sea. An ethereal white chuppah, bouquets of flowers and a live violinist set the stage for the couple to exchange their rings and say their vows.
Following the ceremony, the party headed inside for a fun-filled reception of dancing, laughter and celebration of the newlyweds. And, then back out to the beach to set off Chinese lanterns for good luck.
