This year has been filled to the gills with incredible weddings, and we’ve had quite the week peeking back at our very favorites. From a boho-chic celebration in Georgia, to a mountainside soiree in Colorado, to an interfaith wedding in Tulum, it’s been one beautiful wedding after another and we’re not done just yet.
In fact, we’re rounding out our Best of 2017 with what might be the most elegant Jewish “I do” we’ve ever laid eyes on. And our favorite detail of all? Well, it all comes down to the donut wall (yes, you read right!) that capped off their entire celebration.
The Modern Jewish Wedding Details
When Samantha and Jamil began planning their modern Jewish wedding, they opted for an elegant celebration at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Set on 67.5-acres of blooming beauty in the heart of the city, their venue set the stage for one of the most romantic “I dos” to ever grace our pages.
With a striking color palette of sapphire blue paired with all white florals, their jewel tone celebration was subtle yet statement all in one breath. The couple exchanged vows beneath a whimsical, floral-covered chuppah and included Jewish wedding tradition by providing kippot for the gentlemen and including a tallit wrap during their ceremony.
The evening ended with a ballroom celebration featuring two of our favorite things: a donut wall and a dance party. Samanta and Jamil were lifted up for the hora and capped off the night with a sparkler grand exit.
