We love weddings of all shapes and sizes, but when one day incorporates two faiths, two ceremonies, and two very unique sets of cultural tradition? Well, that’s always a must-see in our book.
Seamlessly designed as an Hindu-Jewish interfaith celebration, Stephanie and Rikin’s wedding did exactly that, proving that two ceremonies is twice the fun.
Plus, with an oceanside setting in sunny Tulum, you better believe this wedding is being awarded a best of the year.
The Modern Jewish Wedding Details
Whenever we have a wedding which fuses the Indian & Jewish traditions we know it is going to be a stunner! The colors, art and lively dancing are a feature of both customs. Add in a beautiful beach destination and we have an O.M.G moment. We apologize in advance–this scroll will take you longer to get through than normal. There were just too many beautiful pics for us to post.
Stephanie & Rikin are a fun and relaxed couple who reside in New York. They chose Tulum, Mexico as the destination to celebrate their love and the fusion of their Hindu & Jewish roots, cultures and traditions. We are transfixed by the rich details, colors, patterns and the simple yet tasteful decor of both ceremonies and the reception.
The entire group enjoyed a live Mariachi band, amazing food, a few tequila shots and the good vibes and energy of Tulum during the rest of the evening.
We both have a deep love for travel, food, culture and social activities. We both love being surrounded by good people, laughter and good vibes. We are both laid-back New Yorkers in the media industry (me) Stephanie at the TODAY Show (NBC) and Rikin at ABC. Rikin has lived all over the world, but grew up in Dallas to 1st generation Indian parents (from Bombay) and Stephanie grew up in Arizona to an Israeli mother. We both appreciate our roots and other approaches to life – and have a zest for life!
