Anytime we open our email and see a submission from Photographer Jeff Kolodny we immediately look at the editorial calendar–we know it’s going to be MJW worthy! Today’s wedding of Rachel and Seth is no exception.
Their love story was a long time in the making too. They first met in NYC in February of 2008 when Seth came to visit NY and stayed with Rachel’s roommate (who was a family friend of Seth). The two were inseparable. But, after years of the long distance romance the two decided to give it a break. Fast forward 18 months later. Rachel and a girlfriend were going to Miami for a girls weekend and Seth happened to be there to play golf with his Dad. The two bumped into each other in the airport bar. It was besheret! They went on their second first date on May 31, 2012 and were married on the same date two years later!
The detail we love most about the Elegant Modern Jewish Wedding? Aside from the gorgeous pink and gold color palette, the amazing Ketubah, the fabulous Jimmy Choo shoes? It’s the cocktail napkins. “Every great love story begins with a cocktail. At least ours did.” What a super special and unique touch, the very essence of what we call the “Modern” in the Modern Jewish Wedding.
Seth and I had a lot of guests coming from out of town and wanted to find a venue where all of our guests could feel like they were on a mini vacation. We thought the Boca Raton Resort was not only gorgeous, but there was plenty of activities for guests to do during the day. From shopping to dining to swimming, we felt like this was a place where our guests could really enjoy. On top of that, the hotel is absolutely gorgeous! We loved the iconic pink hotel and its classic architecture. We knew it was the perfect venue for us.”
