Making Memories is gearing up for the 2011 Brides Against Breast Cancer Nationwide Tour of Gowns. They will be visiting 25+ cities across the country. Starting with Washington D.C. tomorrow, June 17.
This is an amazing opportunity for any Modern Jewish Bride (actually for all brides) to infuse a bit of Tzedakah into their wedding and get a NEW designer wedding gown at a remarkable price. (This is NOT like the warehouse sales where brides need to camp out!) These events are held at hotels with tickets and are through the generous donations of dress designers and other brides! If you’re so inspired by the cause, you can volunteer for the Tour in your home city or even bring the Tour of Gowns to your hometown!

“FIND THE GOWN OF YOUR DREAMS AND MAKE A WISH COME TRUE”
This unique opportunity allows brides-to-be a chance to find the gown of their dreams at a remarkable price, while helping to make wishes and memory-making events come true.
Most gown prices range from $99 to $799*, including hundreds of beautiful new name brand and designer gowns valued up to $8,000. *Exclusive designer and couture gowns valued up to $20,000 are also available at an incredible 25% to 75% savings.
REMEMBER – more than half the gowns presented during each event are NEW designer gowns that arrived directly from designers, manufacturers and bridal retailers.
Our Brides Against Breast CancerTM program has received more than 50,000 wedding gown donations, with an estimated resale value of over 4 million dollars.
Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation
Our mission is to grant wishes, including memory-making events, for metastatic breast cancer patients, while continuing to support, educate and increase resource awareness.
We at Making Memories are dedicated to providing a spark of joy into the lives of women and men who are losing their battle against breast cancer. The tragedy of this illness is not merely the physical and emotional burden, but also the enormous financial strain it places on a family. When insurance benefits are exhausted and mounting medical expenses deplete bank accounts, there is often little or no money left for special memory-making moments, set apart from the everyday sadness and turmoil of “saying goodbye.”
It is the driving force of our Foundation to make a wish come true for these brave fighters. The wishes and memory-making events we bestow, allows the individual and their family the opportunity to put aside the realities of this illness, if only for a time, while basking in the joy of one another’s presence. Our sincere desire is for every terminally ill breast cancer patient to pass from this world, comforted in the knowledge of having left one final beautiful memory for his or her family.

Volunteer at an Upcoming Event
Without the dedication of volunteers like you, Making Memories would be unable to accomplish our mission. Make this a fun and rewarding group activity. Invite your co-workers, club, family and friends to join you in supporting this worthy cause. You will experience the joy of assisting a new bride as she chooses her “dream gown” while meeting some of the nicest people!
If you are a Bridal consultant, seamstress or cosmetic specialists (for example Avon, Mary Kay, Arbonne) who would enjoy assisting brides in preparation for their “big day,” we invite you to join our volunteers.
If you would like to volunteer during a Brides Against Breast CancerTM event in a city near you, please visit our calendar of events then simply click on “Volunteer Registration.” You may also send an email to email@example.com with “Volunteer (and your city and state)” in the subject line.
