This tented Cape Cod wedding has lots of fun details! Farm tables and mis-matched seating, colored glass vases and baskets that were collected by the mother of the bride from yard sales and flea markets. Colorful wild flowers. Corn hole games. Cocktails and a fire on the beach to end the night. And all done with the seaside venue and the orchid and blue colors in mind. Bride Lindsey tells us,
We imagined our wedding to be casual and fun. We wanted an intimate wedding so, we designed our own ceremony with our friend who officiated and followed it with a big dance party. The ceremony and wedding included a few Jewish elements, but mostly the wedding was secular (my family is Jewish and Damian’s is Catholic). Our chuppah, carried in and held by my brothers and Damian’s sisters was made from the tallit of my late paternal grandfather, Charles, who was a rabbi. After the ceremony, we spent a few minutes on our own on a picnic blanket on the beach.
The colors were orchid (light purple) and light blue. The tables were purple farmer’s tables and centerpieces will include a hodgepodge of jewel-colored vases (my mom has been collecting them from local yard sales and flea markets for months)
For our welcome baskets in guests’ hotel rooms, everyone received an actual basket (my mom has also been gathering them for months) filled with Cape Cod items, purple candies, personalized sunglasses, a pencil and a crossword with clues all about us. It also had a funny poem I wrote.”
