This is a story of a baby, dog and an engagement. First, the baby.
Simon went to visit his brother and sister-in-law, who’d just had a baby. Tanya, who was an old friend of the new mom, also dropped by that afternoon for a visit.
Next, the dog. Tanya remembers, “The first time I saw Simon, he was in his brother’s kitchen with a 65-pound yellow lab draped over his shoulder!” The two quickly realized a shared love for pups, which was a good thing when they moved in together and Simon inherited Tanya’s fun-loving dog Miley, who you’ll see below.
And finally, a proposal. Tanya and Simon discussed getting married many times, but Simon insisted on proposing the old-fashioned way. He popped the question at home and she said yes between happy tears before they went out to celebrate at a local restaurant.
For their outdoorsy engagement shoot, the couple wanted to include their dog and get out and enjoy the vibrant colors of fall. Their photographer, Simon of Bonnallie Brodeur, suggested the open fields of Cowansville in Quebec, Canada, which served as a picturesque background for their warm and casual photo session.
