We warned you back in November of last year, that gray was the new black and this Chic Modern Jewish Wedding shows you way. The elegance of the white floral with the modern sleek gray bridesmaid’s dress creates a look that matches the LA cityscape–classy, modern & elegant!
I’m not going to lie, at first I was super nervous about photographing this wedding. Why? Because David, the groom, is an amazing photographer and his bride Monika is the nicest person you could ever meet! But they made it so easy for me, their wedding was a storybook fairytale. It was set on the 30th floor of the AT&T building with breathtaking, panoramic views of downtown Los Angeles,” said Elizabeth, of Elizabeth Burgi Photography.
In keeping with Jewish tradition, the couple had their ceremony at sundown under a gorgeous white chuppah adorned with white flowers. In fact, all of the flowers in the entire wedding were white and the reception was just overflowing with elegant white roses, hydrangeas, orchids, and more.
Monika looked gorgeous in a tulle princess-style gown with delicate beading on the waist. Speaking of glitzy accessories, one of the guests brought his red Ferrari and the couple had a great time posing with it. The guests danced throughout the night surrounded by the lights of the city.
My favorite part of the photography process was taking pictures on the helicopter pad because we were able to capture amazing views of the couple twirling above the twinkling metropolis. This wedding was truly special and I wish this couple the best in life and in love!”
David and Monika met in 2012.
My best friend and I had decided to go to karaoke at the local bar for a mid-week girl’s night. There was a large group at the table next to ours, and at one point I turned around and made a comment to the stranger standing behind me about a song that someone was singing. Luckily for me, the stranger was David. He laughed, and what I thought was just a random silly joke had turned into a night of conversation. We started dating and found that we both enjoyed spending our weekends doing things together around Los Angeles. Checking out art exhibits, going to festivals, visiting all of the local museums, trying out new restaurants, going to concerts…you name it. Some of the best times we’ve had together have been exploring the city that we live in, which is why we wanted to incorporate it into our wedding. David is a freelance photographer who works with Image Locations, Inc., a company that finds exclusive locations for film, television, and photo shoots. Our engagement photos were taken at The Concrete Loft which is owned by Image Locations, and has incredible views of the Downtown Los Angeles skyline and fantastic architectural features. Keeping in line with the city theme, our wedding was at the penthouse of the AT&T Center in Downtown Los Angeles. With floor to ceiling windows in every room and a 360 degree view of Downtown Los Angeles, it was the perfect backdrop for our big day”
