For one, it’s from Steve Koo Photography. Anytime we open our inbox and see a submission from him we know it’s going to be a fun one! Second, it’s a fall wedding (bringing back memories of another fall favorite-hint, hint) and finally, they served french toast for breakfast.
Steve tells us, “On my way over to Hotel Lincoln the morning of Bruni and Fred’s wedding I thought for sure that the rain that day had dampened Bruni’s spirits, but quite to my surprise everyone, including my stunning bride was content and cheerful. How could you not be happy when surrounded by mountains of Jewish pastries at 8am?! Needless to say the normally arduous process of hair/makeup was relaxed and fun. After getting Bruni into her beautiful and simplistic J. Crew dress we slipped away to meet Fred for their first look. With the rain subsided and the sun peeking out we were able to spend a bit of time outdoors for their portraits. During their ceremony I couldn’t help but stop in awe at how heartwarming it felt when multiple guests were chosen too participate by reading specific blessings. Guests were treated to hot cider while mingling outdoors for cocktail hour and then ushered back indoors for an elegant brunch. I have to admit that I wasn’t quite expecting the party I witnessed until 3 in the afternoon! I bet their guests can’t say they’ve had that good of a time on a Sunday in a while 🙂”
Steve gave us a sneak peek into the personality of Bruni & Fred with their engagement pictures. The couple included their bikes in the Roscoe Village shoot. They have Modern Jewish Wedding written all over them.
We applaud Bruni and Fred for the hot apple cider, french toast and Sunday morning wedding. What fun! Who doesn’t love a fabulous Sunday morning brunch?
Of course, their venue, Cafe Brauer at the Lincoln Park Zoo, counts as a Modern Jewish Wedding detail.
Bruni chose to go simple yet elegant with her dress and Modern with a Vintage twist for her hair and check out the gloves? We likey!
Fall Modern Jewish Wedding Pin Alert: The fall centerpieces made out of bread bowls are exquisite. Especially with the sunflower motif we see with Bruni’s bouquet, Fred’s boutonniere, on the chuppah and included in the table centerpieces.
