Yes, you read that right. A traditional Jewish wedding at One Atlantic in Atlantic City.
Shiran and Jeremy were introduced through one of Shiran’s relatives. Shiran didn’t take it seriously and thought nothing would ever come of the introduction. At the beginning of their relationship, Shiran and Jeremy lived in different states, but with commuting to see each other, they made the relationship work perfectly!
With Jeremy in Philadelphia and Shiran in New York City, they decided to have their Modern Jewish Wedding at a destination between the two. Shortly after their special day, Shiran moved to Philadelphia full-time to be with Jeremy!
We’re in love with Shiran’s wedding dress! Proof that a bride can be both modest and beautiful. We think her choice to wear her hair down is sublime. She is gorgeous.
Shiran and Jeremy did all the traditional wedding elements and the more modern ones too. The couple did a first look, took some pictures and then had a Kabbalat Panim & Groom’s Tisch. During the tisch both the MOB and MOG broke their cereamic plate (symbolizing the seriousness of the commitment between the two families.) Jeremy was then escorted to his bride where he did a Bedekken. The couple did the Hakafah, exchanged rings of solid metal, read the Ketubah and broke the glass.
We even have a picture of them peeking out the door from Yihud.
And, we don’t think you can get any more Modern Jewish than bringing all the traditional Jewish wedding elements to the Atlantic City Boardwalk.
