It’s another JDate Success story. Bayla and Josh met on JDate. Bayla, who is originally from Virginia, was an actress in the area and Josh, who is from Maryland is in marketing. One of Bayla and Josh’s favorite dates was walking around the tidal basin through the cherry blossoms in Washington DC. Last April, after the couple had been dating for four years , Josh took Bayla to their favorite spot and he got down on one knee right below a beautiful blossoming tree across from the Jefferson Memorial.
For their wedding the couple chose the very chic Baltimore Museum of Industry. The venue offers a unique and historic backdrop, an unforgettable waterfront setting and a plane over your head while you eat.
During their wedding Bayla and Josh had a very special, private Ketubah ceremony with their families. The bride hand-knitted kippot for all the men that were under the chuppah. Speaking of the chuppah, we love the real moss covering the bases on this one as well as all the greenery, with the clear white cover. It truly brings the outside into the museum. Perfect for a winter wedding. Also, picture perfect for a winter Chic Modern Jewish Wedding was Bayla’s beautiful white wrap
During the reception, Bayla sang the groom’s favorite song, “Bittersweet,” to him with the band. Inside the venue’s movie theater a trailer played throughout the night with a mock JDate ad and a collage of photos of family and friends. Cool!
