New York Modern Interfaith Wedding from Lilypad Photo Studio

Elizaveta and Derek’s elegant, intimate, multilingual, interfaith wedding on the West Side of Manhattan

It’s a perfect Tuesday Shoeday wedding to showcase.  Why?  Elizaveta’s bold blue shoes.

We have a lot in common with Elizaveta.  She made sure to get coffee first thing in the morning on her wedding day.  Smart gal!

This couple had relatives and friends from all over the world:  from Russia, Poland, New York and everywhere in-between.   We love how they all got involved in preparations.

The Modern Jewish Wedding Details

In true Modern Interfaith Wedding style Elizaveta and Derek incorporated the Jewish traditions which felt comfortable to them.  Derek did the Hakafah around Elizaveta and smashed the glass.  The couple were married under the white chuppah covering the two of them and their rabbi.

Our favorite detail was easy to pick out:  the remembrance of relatives no longer living with large photos in the front row of the ceremony.
