The Modern Interfaith Wedding Details When it came to planning her wedding day, Erica knew exactly what she wanted. She had a no-nonsense attitude to wedding planning. Along with her husband, Rob, their son, Jordan, and her mother, Meryl, Erica designed a beautiful ceremony and reception that incorporated both her Jewish heritage and Rob’s Jamaican roots. • This was a DIY interfaith wedding with family touches all the way. Erin’s mom made the wedding cake. Rafi’s mom worked closely with the florist on decoration for our wedding and she is the one who did the needle point of “Ani le dodi ve dodi li,” the saying in Hebrew that was on the chuppah.
