Eden’s day began with her bat mitzvah ceremony at Congregation Reform Judaism, which just happens to be the Congregation where I taught religious school (my curriculum was of course, Lifecycles) when I worked for Walt Disney World. “It’s a small world,” (Pun Intended!)
The Bat Mitzvah party took place at night the same day at the Winter Park Racquet Club. Playing off of Eden’s name, The Garden of Eden was the party theme. The room was decorated to portray the bible story–with a tree of life, snakes and apples.
The guests were in for many surprises which included a live White Siberian Tiger, live snakes and a live performance by Taylor Swift. (Just in case, you’re way behind the times like me, tickets to her 1989 US Tour Dates are completely sold out 🙁 )
Here at Modern Jewish Wedding we don’t often show Bar or Bat Mitzvah parties. Except, when we can show you how to use them as inspiration for your Modern Jewish or Jew-ish wedding. Eden’s Garden of Eden is planted full of inspirational ideas.
Let’s start with the attention to detail. The interactive desserts plus two cakes. Her escort table displays, signature cocktail and centerpieces were all cohesive. The surprises for the guests around every corner. I once heard celebrity wedding planner, Preston Bailey, explain to give guests a surprise or a sensual experience at least every 30 minutes.
Enjoy your brief trip to the Garden of Eden. We’ll see you on Monday with a brand new Real Wedding.
