Here’s a look inside at one of our Modern Jewish Magazine features for this year’s edition. Each year as Jews around the world mark the time of the year where we get to renew and rebuild ourselves at the High Holidays MJW releases our magazine. Each year we’ve managed to improve the product.  The first year it was released only online and was a “Best Of” magazine, including some of our favorite weddings which we’d…

Lauren’s Bridal Shower in Brooklyn, NY at Ahi Ezer Congregation was a joy. She, her family and friends celebrated her change from Miss Schwalb to Mrs. Goldstein.  After participating via a previously recorded video during the future bride and groom trivia game, he made a  surprise in person appearance during the bingo game. It’s Fat Tuesday!  Happy Mardi Gras I admit, I was young once.  My younger self made a trip, with 9 others in one hotel room, to Mardi Gras.  While my current “more mature” self wouldn’t make the trip to celebrate in person, I am not at all opposed to celebrating the city of New Orleans from my safe and comfortable office. • Erin and Daniel had a beautiful, intimate wedding at the elegant Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Austin. It was a beautiful spring day for a simple, laid back ceremony on the back lawn and a low-key dinner reception followed afterward indoors.
-
Erin didn’t want the spotlight to be on herself too much; she and Daniel were both keen to spend as much time as possible with their families and friends. Becky with Brock and Co Events did an outstanding job executing a flawless event.
