We’re throwing it back to our first ever blog post back in Feb of 2011 We’ve grown up a lot in the last 3 years.  We now specialize in showcasing Real Modern Jewish Weddings as well as inspiration and ideas you can use when planning (or dreaming) your own MJW.  We’re proud to say we’re the only Jewish Wedding Blog started by an award-winning event planner AND a certified professional Jewish educator. And, now that…

You know it’s a fun wedding when…The after-party is at a bowling alley! I’m excited to share this beautiful San Francisco Modern Jewish wedding which took place in the Presidio area (an old Army barracks area turned into a National Park) in May 2013. Jennifer and Michael got ready at the newly renovated Inn at the Presidio. Their reception area was a short walk away at the Golden Gate Club and their after party was…

Memorial day weekend mentally marks the start of summer!  The end of school, swimming, summer camp, vacations, fireworks and the lazy hazy days of summer loom ahead of us with expectancy.  Usually, a wedding being officiated by a Jewish clergy has signaled the start of wedding season.  (A weekend with a Monday off is always a blessing for a couple who wants a Sunday wedding with a reception that goes all night!)  What better way…

It is what I…

    • Erin and Daniel had a beautiful, intimate wedding at the elegant Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Austin. It was a beautiful spring day for a simple, laid back ceremony on the back lawn and a low-key dinner reception followed afterward indoors.
Erin didn’t want the spotlight to be on herself too much; she and Daniel were both keen to spend as much time as possible with their families and friends. Becky with Brock and Co Events did an outstanding job executing a flawless event.
